  • I found a note in my coat pocket after I went home from Ryan's. It said "I love you" followed by a heart. ♥

  • I got my hair cut, finally. The back was getting waaay too long. It is now back to the appropriate length of 3/4 of an inch. \o/

  • As of this moment, I have no major assignments due for school! \o/ \o/ \o/

What I should be doing:
  • The Harry Potter challenge
  • Writing a new chapter of my SGA/AAR crossover
  • Working on my SGA vids
What I have been doing:
  • Watching SGA with Ryan
  • Watching A Very Potter Sequel
  • Playing Spyro The Dragon
  • Reading The Green Mile by Stephen King
I haven't written since June 6, I haven't properly vidded since June 7, and I've been skipping days of the Harry Potter challenge like crazy. Sadly, right now I'll go with the easiest one: Harry Potter.

The Questions )

Day 12: Favorite ship
You know, honestly, I don't care much for shipping in Harry Potter. I just... I'm not reading it for romance. I really don't care. I mean, if I had to choose, I'd pick Ron/Hermione because they're just cute, but I honestly don't care much about the romantic relationships.

You guys! I have a dentist appointment today, and if everything goes well, my next appointment may be to get my braces off! I will have a pretty smile! I'll be able to eat salad and popcorn and toffee again! \o/

Harry Potter time nao.

The Questions )

Day 11: What character would you say you are most like?
I'd have to say I'm most like Lupin. I have a lot of his good qualities - I'm forgiving, calm, accepting, and patient - but I also share his bad qualities. For example, he was never mean to Snape, but he also didn't stop Sirius and James from being mean to him. I act the same way sometimes; I don't make fun of certain people, but I don't stop my friends from making fun of them either.

Today, my aunt threw a party. There was about 50 people there, including family members and people she works with. I brought Ryan with me, and it was lots of fun. My aunt lives on a lake, and she owns a motorboat, so we went tubing a few times (which is where you tie an inner tube to a motorboat and ride along behind at high speeds \o/). They own a three-person tube, so I ended up between Ryan and a another guy named Ryan (who... ironically is also 17 years old and 6'3"...). It was like a Ryan sandwich. Good times.

Now. HarryPotterHarryPotterHarryPotterHarryPotter.

The Questions )

Day 10: Horcruxes or Hallows?
The Hallows are way more awesome. I love mythology, so items from an old legend are incredibly awesome to me. It's like that story about the three brothers who get a flying carpet, a magic mirror, and a magic apple... That was like my favorite story as a kid, idek what it's called. Either way, the Hallows are badass.

I've been waiting for this one.

The Questions )

Day 9: Least favorite male character
I know some people would hate me for this, but my least favorite male character (and my least favorite character in general) is Dumbledore. I can't stand him. He's just one of those characters I want to punch every time he speaks. I don't mind him in the first few books, but from book 5 and onward, I hate him. I have a hard time finding any likeable qualities in him. I mean, yes, he fought for Muggle rights and all that, but because that's not actually dealt with in the story, it doesn't make him any more likeable as a character. I find him boring and annoying, and it seems like the majority of wizards put him up on an extremely high pedestal when in reality he's not much better than anyone else. Also, I don't like how his relationship with Harry developed in the last few books. I never got the impression that they cared that deeply about one another until the last book, and it seems like all that caring came out of nowhere. After all, they'd shared, what, 20 conversations in their entire lives? They didn't even know each other that well, really. I just... I can't even explain how much I dislike Dumbledore. I hate him.

Today, I drove for the first time. In a car! On roads! And I did not hit things! \o/

And now, Harry Potter time.

The Questions )

Day 8: What do you think would be your favorite lesson?
Hmmm. I think I'd enjoy Potions (if I didn't have Snape for a teacher) because you get to cut things up and mix things and it's sort of like cooking, which is one of my favorite things to do. Except... you can't eat the potions afterwards. Also, I think I'd like Transfiguration if you didn't have to transfigure animals. :/

Omg, you guys, I just got back from my first job interview ever. It was terrifying! I applied at Dairy Queen. The manager was nice, and I have a good resume, but there are 30 other applicants, so I'm sure that someone with more experience will get the job. But at least it was experience for future interviews, right?

Now, it is time for the Harry Potter challenge.

The Questions )

Day 7: Favorite female character and why?
Hmmm. I guess I don't feel an strongly about the female characters in this series as the male characters, because there's no female character I love as much as my favorite male character (LEE JORDAN ♥) and no female character I hate as much as my least favorite male character (I can't say who that is yet but I hate him omg). I guess my favorite female character would have to be Luna Lovegood. She's funny and adorable and I love her honesty, but sometimes she breaks my heart, especially when they found the painting on her ceiling in the last book. I guess I kind of identify with her in that way, because I know what it's like to not have many friends, and therefore to care that much about the friends you do have. I love Luna ♥

So today I was vidding, and I noticed a shot in an SGA episode that I hadn't previously noticed. And it was the BEST SHOT EVER, so I had to make a gif of it. My gif-maker isn't very good, so it's not great quality, but it's still adorable.

Photobucket

I don't even know why I find it so cute, but it's amazing.

And now, on to the Harry Potter challenge!

The Questions )

Day 6: What House would you want to be in?
I'd most definitely be in Ravenclaw. I've known that ever since I started reading Harry Potter. I'm smart and I'm an overachiever in school, and I'm not particularly brave or nice, so no Gryffindor or Hufflepuff for me. And... I dunno, I just don't feel like a Slytherin. Ravenclaw just feels like my house. Plus I took a 100-question Sorting Hat quiz which confirmed it. I AM A RAVENCLAW. (And so is MarkReadsHarryPotter, so I'm good with that :D)

The Harry Potter Challenge, Day 5. Yay!

The Questions )

Day 5: Favorite male character and why
LEE JORDAN. Hands down. I know he's not a main character or even an important character, but he is the most awesome character ever. When I was little and reading the books I used to laugh so hard every time he apologized to McGonagall during his Quidditch commentary. He's the reason that Quidditch was always my favorite part of the books, and I don't know, I just have this huge affection for him. Plus he's friends with Fred & George, who are my second and third favorites, so that gets him even more awesome points. ♥ Lee ♥

I skipped two days of the Harry Potter challenge. Friday, I was busy. Saturday, I just couldn't do it because I was really, really scared by something that I can't post about on here, and I still am but I've decided to do Day 4 of the HP Challenge to take my mind off it. Here goes.

The Questions )

Day 4: Least favorite female character and why
This one is... really difficult. I'm having trouble thinking of any female characters I particularly hate. Actually, I think my problem is that I'm looking for badly-written characters, rather than well-written bad characters. But if I choose the well-written bad characters... I don't even know, I can't choose, I enjoy reading them all. I guess Bellatrix Lestrange gets a little annoying, with her crazy obsession with Voldemort, but that's about it. I just can't bring myself to mark a character I enjoy reading about as my least favorite, no matter how evil they are.

Day three of the Harry Potter Challenge. I don't have a whole lot to say today, because I hardly remember the movies at all, having only seen most of them once (except The Philosipher's Stone and The Prisoner Of Azkaban).

The Questions )
Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book?
Yes, in fact, there is. THEY LEFT OUT PEEVES ENTIRELY. I will never, ever get over this fact. Hmph. Also, where is the giant squid?

In other news, I passed the final test for the in-class portion of Drivers' Ed today, and now I can start getting actual driving lessons! Yaaaay!

Day two of the Harry Potter challenge for me! Okay, yes, it's past midnight, so technically I'm late. Shhhh.

The Questions )

Day 2: Your favorite movie
Hmmm. This one is pretty hard for me. I genuinely can't remember the GoF and OotP movies, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't either of them. I think The Half-Blood Prince would have been my favorite if it wasn't for certain annoying factors. For example, if they hadn't messed up Harry and Ginny's kiss (actually, I don't like Bonnie Wright as Ginny at all, but that's another story). Other than that it has some great comedy, and it skips over most of the boring parts involving Harry and Dumbledore's "lessons" (I know that was like the main plot of the book, but it was so boring omg), but due to the fact that I have the same problems with it that I have with the other newer movies (I'll get to that on Day 19), I'd have to say that overall The Philosopher's Stone was the best movie out of the series. It keeps very close to the book, the acting is great (old Dumbledore FTW), and little Harry, Ron, and Hermione were adorable.

Now, onto another Potter-related matter. I know I'm bad for shamelessly advertising things that I like, but this one is especially awesome. If you like Harry Potter, you should check out Mark Reads Harry Potter. It's the chapter-by-chapter reviews of Mark, a 26-year-old man, reading Harry Potter for the first time (having never seen the movies either) and turning into a complete fanboy. It's kind of amazing.

And that is all. So long and goodnight.

Alright, so, I've abandoned the linkbait generator for my titles, because it's rather boring once you've seen all 20 or so titles. Now, I'm going to title them the way Neil Gaiman titles the chapters in Anansi Boys. Because I suck at regular titles. And also I'll be using my full name in them, because I've gotten into the habit of using it again.

Yesterday was my job hunting day. I ran all around town in heels and a skirt for six hours, dropping off resumes and filling out job applications. I applied for fourteen jobs in total, so I'm hoping I get at least one of them. The guy at Dairy Queen says he might be able to interview me on the weekend, so fingers crossed.

Anyway, the main reason for this post is this: The thirty-day Harry Potter challenge which I stole from [personal profile] fizzyblogic.

The Questions )

Day 1: Your favorite book
I know that most Potter fans will disagree with me, but my favorite book is The Order Of The Phoenix. Everything about it is awesome, although the best part is easily the school's rebellion against Umbridge (especially Professor McGonagall omg, that was the book where I really started to love her). Also, the Department of Mysteries fascinated me to no end when I was a kid, and still does. It was only recently that I realized that each room represented something very simple: Time, death, the future, etc. It's so cool.

I have now been sick for nine days straight. I went to school once this week. I am still not better. I'm going to fail History and French. D:

Now, positive things!
  • I have the best boyfriend ever. He's been over here to keep me company six out of the nine days I've been sick. ♥
  • MarkReadsHarryPotter is the best blog ever. I was unsure if I could handle it until he got to chapter four of book one and he loves it and this makes me ridiculously happy.
  • BrettTheIntern is my favorite person ever. He's so hyperactive and silly and awesome and I just wanna hug him *__*
